Set on the west coast, this great resort as arguably the best stretch of beach on the island. It provides safe swimming directly from the beach which is great for couples and families.
The resort is modelled on an old fishing village with thatched rondavel-style bungalows set out in the lush gardens. A great benefit of the bungalows is that they are single story and no rooms are above you. For families we’d recommend the Deluxe Beach Family Pavilion.
The main restaurant, Wolmar, is located at the heart of the resort and serves themed buffets. Coconut Café allows you to explore Mauritian street food or satisfying pizza, whilst Magenta offers great seafood and hosts a beach barbecue each week which is not to be missed.
For a deserving spa treatment, La Pirogue shares Cinq Mondes Spa with its sister hotel, Sugar Beach. Guests also have complimentary green fees at Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club but would need to arrange their own transfers.
