The hotel is named after the novel, Paul et Virginie, by Jacques-Henri Bernardin de Saint-Pierre. Published in 1788, the title characters are friends at birth who fall in love and the story is set on the island of Mauritius under French rule. This ode to romance typifies this adults-only resort set in Grand Gaube with stunning views towards the northern islands.
Dining at Le Saint Géran Restaurant is a must; with its unique setting on a jetty overlooking the fishing village of Grand Gaube and beyond. A great place to enjoy a sundowner is from the large infinity pool.
With all rooms facing the sea at Veranda Paul et Virginie, you’re never too far from the ocean. We’d recommend staying in a Privilege Room for at least seven nights as you’ll receive a complimentary full day catamaran cruise once during your stay.
