The historic peninsula of Pointe aux Canonniers is only a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Grand Baie. Canonnier Beachcomber lies on the western tip of the peninsular and is dotted with canons from long-ago battles.
There is a pleasant vibe to the resort where chill-out zones have bean bags and hammocks under the shade of palm trees. There are three restaurants with the pick of the bunch being Navigator. Perched on a small hill you’ll have commanding views over the lagoon and towards the northern islets. You can also inter-dine at Mauricia Beachcomber and Victoria Beachcomber.
Light colours, wood and rattan create bright rooms which are either garden or sea facing. The Standard Rooms have a shower only, so if you want a bath, choose one of the Superior Rooms. For a bath and separate shower, we would recommend the Deluxe Sea Facing Rooms.
The spa experience at Canonnier Beachcomber is unique! It is set in a huge old Banyan Tree with a pathway leading up into the private secluded cabins. Before your spa treatment, have a round of golf. The resort has privileged access to Mont Choisy Golf Course which is just a few minutes drive away.
Families can enjoy nothing but fun; there is a miniature golf course on site, a fantastic series of tents which makes up the kids club and you can learn archery amongst so many other activities.
