Right in the heart of vibrant Grand Baie lies Mauricia Beachcomber, a cosmopolitan and relaxed resort overlooking the turquoise bay. Just a short walk along the beach and you are in the midst of shops, restaurants and bars of the village or you can simply take to your sun lounger and forget the world.
The Mediterranean style complex has most of the rooms surrounding the two pools. The 2-Bedroom Family Apartments and Villa are located in the resort’s Village behind the main complex. The rooms are modern with a touch of bright colour. We would recommend upgrading to a suite if you can as these have a penthouse position with a private plunge pool on the balcony and great views over Grand Baie.
The resort may only have two restaurants but the quality of the food here is outstanding. Les Quais serves themed buffets but also has several live cooking stations. Le Nautic serves fresh seafood with two split-level terraces facing the sea. Guests can also inter-dine at Canonnier Beachcomber and Victoria Beachcomber.
All the water activities take place in front of the resort in the calm waters of the bay. There is a complimentary kids club for children aged 3-11 years and relaxing spa is available when you just want some ‘me’ time.
